About the Platform

What is Brick Hill Rewritten?

Brick Hill Rewritten is a free, non-commercial fan project that revives the original Brick Hill platform (2017-2023), a community site where players could customise an avatar, play user-created games, trade virtual items, join clans, and participate in forums.

The original platform was shut down in 2023. This revival — maintained by volunteer fans — rebuilds it from scratch to keep the community alive. It is not an official product of Mooshimity, Ltd. (the original owner) and has no commercial relationship with them.

The platform targets a general audience of all ages. There is no violent content, no gambling mechanics, and no adult material.

Who Runs It?

Brick Hill Rewritten is built and maintained by a small team of volunteer developers and moderators — community members who grew up with the original platform and want to preserve it. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no profit motive.

The source code is publicly available on GitHub, which means anyone can inspect exactly how the platform works. We operate with full transparency.

Safety & Moderation

How We Keep the Platform Safe

Our volunteer moderation team monitors reported content around the clock. Every piece of user-generated content — forum posts, game names, clan descriptions, usernames — is subject to our Rules of Conduct. Violations are handled with warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on severity.

Automated filters block a wide range of inappropriate words and links before content ever reaches other users. Our moderation team reviews everything that slips through and acts quickly on player reports.

We do not allow real-money trading, sharing of personal information, or contact-seeking behaviour. Any player found doing so is removed.

Chat & Communication

Players can communicate through the platform's public forum and in-game chat. All messages are subject to our moderation policy. There is no private direct messaging by default for new accounts — this feature requires account standing.

We strongly encourage parents to explore the forum with their child so you can see the kind of conversations that take place. The community is primarily interested in games, avatar customisation, and creative building.

Reporting & Blocking

Every profile, forum post, and game page has a visible Report button. Reports go directly to our moderation queue and are reviewed as quickly as possible. Players can also block another user at any time, which prevents all interaction.

If you believe a report was not acted upon correctly, you can escalate it by emailing us directly at bhrewritten@gmail.com. We take escalations seriously.

Data & Privacy

What Data We Collect

To create an account, we ask for a username, email address, date of birth and password. That's it. We do not ask for a real name, phone number, physical address or payment information.

Email addresses are used exclusively for account recovery (in case a player forgets their password), and the date of birth is used to determine if the user is a minor or not (i.e., to make the parental control system functional). We do not send marketing emails, we do not share email addresses with third parties, and we do not sell any user data — ever.

Account data is stored securely. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. You can request deletion of your child's account at any time by contacting us.

Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies only to keep players logged in. We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, analytics that identify individuals, or any third-party tracking scripts beyond the Font Awesome icon library (which loads fonts, not user data).

Parent's Getting-Started Guide
1

Create an Account Together

Visit Register and create an account alongside your child. Choose a username that does not reveal their real name (e.g. CoolBuilder42 instead of JohnSmith). Use a password manager or write the password in a safe place so you always have access.

Tip: Use an email address you control for account recovery.
2

Explore the Platform Together

Before your child plays unsupervised, spend 15 minutes exploring together. Click through the Shop (items are virtual and free), browse the Forum, and look at a couple of Games. This gives you a concrete understanding of what your child will be doing and lets you answer their questions later.

3

Review the Rules Together

Read through our Rules of Conduct with your child. The rules are written in plain language. Discussing them together sets clear expectations and makes reporting feel natural rather than like "telling on someone."

Key rule: Never share personal information — real name, school, phone number, or location.
4

Teach Them How to Report & Block

Show your child where the Report button appears on profiles and forum posts, and how to block another player. Encourage them to come to you with anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, and make sure they know they won't get in trouble for reporting.

5

Check In Periodically

Ask your child what games they've been playing, what clans they've joined, and who they've been talking to in the forum. This doesn't need to be an interrogation — just normal conversation. It keeps communication open and lets you spot anything unusual early.

Tip: You can log in to their account at any time to review activity since you set it up together.
6

Know How to Contact Us

If you ever have a concern that you can't resolve through the in-platform report system, email us directly at bhrewritten@gmail.com. We respond to parent enquiries as a priority. Include your child's username and a brief description of the issue.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Brick Hill Rewritten free? Are there any hidden costs?

Yes, completely free. There are no paid subscriptions, no premium currency, no battle passes, no loot boxes, and no microtransactions of any kind. All in-game items are earned through participation or obtained through the platform's virtual economy, where players trade with each other using the platform's free in-game currency — not real money.

We are a non-profit fan project. We have no mechanism for accepting money from players.

Can strangers contact my child directly?

All communication on the platform is semi-public. Forum posts are visible to everyone. In-game chat is visible to others in the same game session. There is no secret or hidden messaging system.

Any player can be blocked instantly, which removes all ability for them to interact with your child. Blocked players cannot see your child's posts or send them any messages.

My child is under 13. Is that okay?

Our platform is designed to be suitable for all ages. We do not serve advertising, we do not collect personal data beyond a username and email, and content is actively moderated. We recommend that parents of younger children create the account themselves and play alongside their child initially.

If you have specific concerns about your younger child's use of the platform, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss them directly.

What kind of content appears in user-created games?

Games on Brick Hill Rewritten are built using the platform's own game engine — they are not arbitrary links to external sites. Game content is subject to our Rules of Conduct, which prohibit violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate content. Games that violate these rules are removed.

The games are generally sandbox, adventure, or obstacle-course style experiences built with simple blocky graphics — comparable in tone and complexity to classic Roblox games. There is no graphic violence or mature content permitted.

Can I delete my child's account?

Yes. Email bhrewritten@gmail.com from the email address associated with the account and request deletion. We will permanently delete the account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Is the platform affiliated with Roblox or the original Brick Hill?

No. Brick Hill Rewritten has no affiliation with Roblox Corporation or with Mooshimity, Ltd. (the company that ran the original Brick Hill). We are an independent, fan-made revival project. Brick Hill™ is a registered trademark of Mooshimity, Ltd.; we use the name descriptively to identify what we are reviving, but we have no commercial or legal relationship with them.

What happens if my child breaks the rules?

Depending on the severity of the infraction, consequences range from a warning on their account to a temporary suspension (hours or days) to a permanent ban. Our moderation team assesses each situation individually. For first-time minor violations, a warning is most common.

If your child's account is suspended and you believe it was a mistake, you can contact us to appeal the decision. Please include the username and a description of what happened.

I saw something inappropriate on the platform. What should I do?

Please use the Report button on the relevant page. If you are not logged in or the report button is not visible, email bhrewritten@gmail.com with as much detail as possible (username of the offending player, link to the content, screenshot if available). We take every report seriously and will act promptly.

Still Have Questions?

Our team is happy to speak with parents directly. Whether you have a safety concern, a question about your child's account, or just want to know more about the platform before allowing access — reach out and we'll respond promptly.
